Description
The Statue of Apollo is located at the end of the Long Walk, approximately 12 meters southeast of the Temple of Echo in Rousham Park. This Grade II* listed statue was erected around 1739 and is made of lead, standing on a limestone pedestal that features a moulded plinth and cornice. The statue is part of the landscape gardens designed by William Kent between 1733 and 1740. Rousham Park is recognized in the Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission Register of Parks and Gardens at Grade I.
