Description
Tompion and Cleeveley Cottages are two cottages located in Holwell. Cleeveley dates from the late 17th century, while Tompion is an 18th-century extension. The cottages are built of rubble with Cotswold stone roofs and have ashlar bases to the chimneys. They are two storeys high with attics. Cleeveley features a range of mullion windows, with a three-light window on the first floor and a four-light window on the ground floor, both having drips, and a door to the left. There is a Cotswold gable to the attic at the rear. Tompion has two windows on the first floor and one on the ground floor, all of which are two-light casements with oak lintels. The cottages are entered from the south and have two gabled dormers.
