Description

These are two early 19th-century buildings located on the north-west side of Greys Hill. The facade has been restored and is now rendered and painted, with a slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high with six windows, including two blank openings. Most of the windows are sash windows, some with moulded frames. On the south side of the ground floor, there are three-light sash windows retaining their original glazing bars. A six-panelled door is positioned off-centre, with two additional doors also present. The buildings were originally a public house.

Numbers 70 and 72 form a group with the even-numbered properties from number 2 to number 76, along with the listed walls, railings, gates, and gate posts. This group is associated with Holy Trinity Church and the odd-numbered properties from number 29 to number 33 on Church Street. The garden wall of number 2, Church Street, is also part of this group.
