Description
Nos 33 and 35 Duke Street feature an early 19th century facade that is part of an earlier building. The facade is made of stucco and is topped with a steeply pitched, old tiled roof and a central chimney. The structure has two storeys and dormers, with one window on each level. The gabled dormers contain early 19th century casement windows, while the first-floor windows have exposed frames. No 33 has an unbarred sash window, while No 35 has modern glazing. The shop fronts, which were altered in the 19th century, include pilasters, and No 35 retains an entablature with a cornice and architrave that are still visible. Nos 29 to 35 (odd) are part of a group.
