Description
Corpus Christi College features a front quadrangle that includes the Chapel, Hall, Library, and sets of college rooms, dating back to around 1514. The quadrangle is characterized by an embattled parapet added in 1625. In 1737, the north and south walls were raised to conceal the attics. The inner walls were refaced in 1804 using Barrington stone and were partly refaced again in 1935 when the battlements were removed. The upper outer wall on the northeast side was refaced in Clipsham stone in 1949. Additionally, the east range underwent alterations in 1963.
