Description

This is a row of three cottages located on Beauchamp Lane. They date from the early 17th century and were originally built for Christ Church College. The cottages are constructed of coursed and banded limestone, with ashlar dressings, and have plain tile roofs. A chamfered ashlar plinth runs along the base, and a single coped gable is present to the north, featuring a kneeler. There are three rendered brick stacks. The cottages are single-story and nine bays wide. Each cottage is similar in appearance, with a central plank door flanked by single three-light iron casement windows, all set beneath flat ashlar lintels with keystones. Dormers with paired three-light iron casements are located above each cottage. Inside No. 10, there are internal stud partition walls and chamfered beams.
