Description

The premises occupied by Oxford Lithoplates Limited, originally a chapel and formerly known as St Joseph's Roman Catholic School, date from the late 18th century. This two-storey building features ashlar and coursed rubble construction, with rusticated quoins, a small pediment, and a circular window. The windows are adorned with arched keystoned architraves. The upper sections on the sides have been partially patched with cement, and modern casement windows have been inserted in these areas. For an exterior view from 1823, refer to J C Buckler's drawing in the Bodleian Library, MS Don A 3 I 70.
