Description
Oriel College consists of the North and East Ranges of the Front Quadrangle, built between 1637 and 1642. The Hall features a fireplace from 1778 and panelling added in 1911 by Comper. The Chapel contains glass created in 1767 by William Peckett and a gallery constructed in 1884 by T G Jackson. A new kitchen was added in 1920, and the Buttery retains panelling from 1710. The range in the North West corner, now the Provost's Lodging, was built either around 1620 or around 1637.
