Description

The Shelley Memorial, located in the Main Quadrangle of University College, was built in 1894 by architect Basil Champneys. It features a marble figure created by Edward Onslow Ford. On the High Street front, there is a plaque that commemorates Robert Boyle and Robert Hooke, recognizing their discovery of Boyle's Law in a laboratory on this site between 1655 and 1668.
