Description
Tudor House is a beautifully restored 16th-century building located at 1 King Street. It is two storeys tall and features a timber-framed structure built on a flint plinth. The roof is hipped and newly tiled, with two brick stacks. The eaves are supported by eleven carved brackets and are close-studded. On the first floor, there are three mullioned windows with rectangular leaded lights, and a moulded bressumer. The ground floor has three mullioned and transomed windows, along with a renewed carved doorcase that includes a studded door. The right side elevation has a modern extension designed to match the original style, featuring patterns of diagonal and curved traces. Inside, the building boasts a plaster ceiling and a frieze decorated with repeated Prince of Wales Feathers.
