Description
Harefield is a house dating from the 17th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of rendered and painted brick with plain tiled roofs. The building features two parallel ranges joined by a cross wing and stands two storeys high with box eaves beneath a hipped roof. Stacks project from both the left and right ends of the roof. The front has a regular arrangement of windows, including two tripartite glazing bar sashes with a central glazing bar sash on the first floor, and two tripartite glazing bar sashes on the ground floor. The central entrance is a half-glazed door with a traceried ogee fanlight and a moulded surround. The rear wings, which are one storey with an attic and two storeys, are clad in painted brick and have plain tiled roofs, likely enclosing timber framed structures.
