Description
The Mount is a house dating from around 1820. It is two storeys high, with a semi-basement and attics. The exterior is faced with buff bricks and features painted stringcourses and a parapet. The roof is covered in slate, with one dormer window. There are three windows visible from the front. The windows are round-headed and retain their glazing bars. A wide porch with seven steps leads to the front door; the porch is supported by fluted Doric columns and topped with a pediment. The doorway itself is round-headed and features a semi-circular fanlight. The north-east front includes two windows and two large tripartite curved bays on the ground floor, each with a tent-shaped canopy above.
