Description
This is a chest tomb located about 16 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of stone and features a doubly-stepped base, with the lower step having been formerly railed. The tomb has a moulded plinth, a reeded lid, and reeded side panels. The corners of the inscription panel are concave. The south side is inscribed to Hannah Comber, who died in 1821, while the north side is dedicated to Elizabeth Richardson Godden, who died in 1835.
