Description
Nos 76 and 77 on Bank Street are timber-framed houses that were refronted in the 18th century and have undergone further alterations since then. They feature a slight overhang on the first floor and rise to three storeys. No 76 is finished with roughcast, while No 77 has a cement front. Both houses have tiled roofs and parapets, with one window each. The first floor includes small bay windows, and the glazing bars above the ground floor remain intact. Below, there are modern shopfronts. A passageway runs through the ground floor between the shops, revealing visible timber-framing in its walls. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 73 to 88.
