Description

Nos 4 and 5 on High Street are an early to mid 18th century pair of buildings, likely constructed after the great fire of 1727. They rise three storeys with attics and are finished in stucco. The facade features a pediment and three plain pilasters. Each building has two sash windows with intact glazing bars, except for the attic storey, which has one sash window each. The second floor and the first floor of No 4 have balconettes adorned with an anthemion motif. The buildings also include 19th century shopfronts. Nos 3 to 5 and 3A form a group.
