Description
The former lodge to Saltwood Castle is a 19th-century building that now serves as a house. It is likely constructed from medieval stone sourced from the castle ruins. The front section features a slate roof, while the wing has a plain tile roof. The building is designed in an L-shape and has two low storeys. A plain stone eaves band runs along the top, and there is a rendered rear stack on the left side. The front has a regular arrangement of three windows, each with 2-light Gothic casements. The central entrance is a boarded door with a pointed arch. The left rear wing also has a plain stone eaves band, a hipped roof, and a gable end stack. It includes one 2-light Gothic casement on the first floor and two on the ground floor. The interior has not been inspected.
