Description
Staple Farm Granary is a timber-framed structure, likely dating from the early 19th century. It was relocated several metres north-east of its original position in 2013. The granary is clad in weatherboarding and is supported on nine mushroom-shaped staddle stones, topped with a hipped tiled roof.
The building has a square plan, measuring two by two bays. The entrance is located on the south-west side and features a central 20th-century ledged and braced door. The other three sides still display some tarred weather boards.
Inside, the wall frame consists of thin studs and some diagonal braces. The roof structure includes rafters with a ridgepiece, purlins, and collar beams. The floor retains original wide floorboards, and there are four grain bins separated by partitions made of nailed wide horizontal planks.
