Description

Anchor Cottage, also known as No 4, is part of a late 18th-century row of cottages located on the north side of Coppin Street. The cottages are two storeys high and constructed of yellow brick, with No 2 being painted and Nos 3 and 4 finished in roughcast. They feature a tiled mansard roof that includes three dormers. Each cottage has one sash window with intact glazing bars. Notably, No 1 has a first-floor bay window. Nos 3 and 4 share a double doorcase with moulded architraves and a six-panel fielded door, where the top two panels are cut away and glazed. No 2 has a similar doorcase. Together, Nos 1 to 10 form a cohesive group.
