Description

This is a pair of buildings, numbers 111 and 113, located on Middle Street. They date from the mid-19th century, but have been altered with the addition of Neo-Georgian features in later years. The buildings are three storeys high with a basement, constructed of brown brick, and have a tiled roof. Each building has one sash window on each floor. Number 111 retains its original glazing bars in the sash windows; number 113 has only vertical glazing. Number 111 has a Neo-Georgian bow window inserted into the ground floor. The buildings have doorcases with moulded architraves, and feature six-panelled doors. The buildings are included on the list for their contribution to the wider group value of numbers 105 to 119 (odd) on Middle Street.
