Description

Rectory Cottage and Oak Cottage are originally four cottages dating from the 16th century. The building has a timber frame with plaster infilling; the ground floor and end window bays on both floors were rebuilt in painted brick. The roof is slate, and there are brick chimney stacks. There are four casement windows with leaded panes. The doorcases are simple. A stone inscription reading "E H 1691" indicates a later alteration. The interior features inglenook fireplaces.
