Description
Snoad Hill Farmhouse is an 18th-century building located in Bethersden. It is two storeys tall with attics in the gable end and is constructed of painted brick. The farmhouse features a half-hipped tiled roof and has four casement windows with round-headed lights, which are locally referred to as Dering windows. These windows were likely added to all the farmhouses and cottages on the Surrenden Dering estate in the nearby parish of Pluckley, probably by Sir Edward Cholmeley Dering, 8th Baronet, who owned the estate from 1811 to 1896. Additionally, there is a 19th-century gabled porch.
