The cottage is a late medieval hall-house with two storeys; the ground floor is made of red brick, while the first floor is faced with weatherboarding. The Baptist Chapel, dating from the 18th century, is a single-storey building also faced with weatherboarding and has two casement windows, along with a hipped tiled roof.
