WOODCHURCH MOOR LANE 1. 5272 Shirley Farmhouse TQ 93 SW 9/534 II*

  1. A timber-framed building, C16 or earlier, with plaster infilling and curved braces in the 1st floor of the north front which originally over-sailed on the protruding ends of the floor joists but has been underbuilt. Timber framing now mainly exposed. Two storeys and attics. Steeply pitched hipped tiled roof with one hipped dormer. Three casement windows. L-wing added to the south in C18. The interior contains crownpost, twin service entry and tie beam.
