40, 44, and 46 Maytham Road are early to mid 19th century houses located in Rolvenden Layne. The buildings are two storeys tall, with the ground floor constructed of red brick and the first floor featuring tile hanging. They have a slate roof and include four sash windows with intact glazing bars. The doorcase for Nos 44 and 46 has a simple flat weather hood, while No 40 has an added tiled pentice.
