Description
Tilmenden is a 15th-century timber-framed building located in Stone-cum-Ebony. It features plaster infilling, with the first floor of the end window bays extending out over the ends of the floor joists and supported by brackets. The section between these bays has wide, heavy curved brackets that support the eaves and part of a cove. There is also an oriel window on the first floor, which has six lights and wooden mullions, projecting on brackets. One of the ground floor windows retains its original wooden mullions. The building has a hipped tiled roof and three casement windows. The first floor of the north front also extends out, while the south front is covered in tile-hanging. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace.
