Description

Croucher's Farmhouse is a late medieval timber-framed hall-house, likely dating from the 15th century. The base is constructed of stone rubble. Part of the ground floor features close-studding with plaster infill, while the rest has been rebuilt in red brick. The first floor is tile-hung and extends over the ground floor, supported by the protruding ends of the floor joists and brackets. Some curved braces can be seen. The building has a steeply-pitched hipped tiled roof and three casement windows, along with some blocked original window openings.
