Description

Halden Place is an 18th-century house, potentially built upon earlier foundations. One brick bears a date of 1769. The house has two storeys and attics, with a semi-basement. The ground floor and basement are constructed of red brick, while the upper portion is tile-hung. The roof is tiled and half-hipped, featuring a single dormer window and a wooden eaves cornice. The facade displays three sash windows with intact glazing bars. A 19th-century glazed porch sits at the top of nine steps and contains a door constructed of six fielded panels. The rear elevation and one end elevation are faced with mathematical tiles. Inside, a fireplace with an inglenook and a bread oven are located in the basement.
