Description
This building comprises numbers 22 to 26 Jewry Street, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It exhibits influences of the Greek Revival architectural style. The building is three storeys high and has a total of ten windows. Constructed of yellow brick, the rounded corner at the north end is stuccoed. Pilasters are positioned to flank each individual house. A prominent cornice and wide eaves are present, topped by slate roofs. The windows are set within moulded architrave surrounds, with original glazing bars retained on the second floor. Modern shop fronts occupy the ground floor. The visually important curved frontage contributes to the area's character, particularly when viewed in conjunction with the Theatre Royal.
