Description
Ash Lock Cottage is a Grade II listed building dating from around 1800. It is a single-storey, simple dwelling located next to a lock on the Basingstoke Canal, which was constructed in the late 18th century.
The front of the cottage features three windows and a door, while the back has a low eaves roof that includes two half-dormer windows. The roof is low pitched and covered with slate. The walls are made of brick in Monk bond, which has been painted. Most of the casement windows appear to be original. There is a modern outshot at one end of the building.
