Description
The Crinkle Crankle Eastern Garden Wall at Little Lords Mead is a Grade II listed structure, dated and initialled "I B 1810". This garden wall is made of coped brick and stands about 8 feet high. Many similar walls in Lymington are believed to have been constructed by French Loyalists who took refuge in the area during the Napoleonic Wars. This wall, along with the one at Broadcroft, likely once formed part of the same enclosure. The Crinkle Crankle Western Garden Wall at Broadcroft and the Crinkle Crankle Eastern Garden Wall at Little Lords Mead are considered to be part of a group.
