Description
Pilgrims is a Grade II listed building dating from the 16th century, specifically dendrochronologically dated to 1564, with early 19th-century and 20th-century alterations. This late medieval timber-framed house features later brick cladding and a recent extension to the west. It stands two storeys high and has three windows on the first floor. The roof is covered with red tiles, half-hipped, with a catslide at the rear and a single shafted stack above an interior chimney breast that has a staircase on one side. The walls are made of red brick in Flemish bond, with cambered openings on the ground floor. While modern casements are present, there are also two notable early 19th-century metal lights. The building was originally three cottages.
