Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a 16th-century house with 18th-century alterations, originally a two-bay hall with a cross wing. The front facade is now clad in brickwork. The house is two storeys high with three windows. It has a red tile roof and a substantial chimney stack at the south end, which tapers upwards in weathered steps. The original timber frame is visible at the rear, on the south gable, and in the upper part of the north side, where it was likely jettied and originally gabled. The filling between the frame and other walling is of red brick with cambered ground-floor openings. Modern casement windows and a plain door are present. Recent extensions have been added to the rear.
