Description
The pair of lodges at Dogmersfield Park, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, are situated on either side of the park's entrance and are arranged in a splayed form. Originally designed to be identical, each lodge features a front elevation of two storeys with two windows, and a side elevation also with two windows. They have low-pitched slate roofs with wide eaves supported by curved brackets against a fillet. The walls are finished in stucco and include a central recessed panel on the first floor, bands at the first floor level, and ground floor openings set within elliptical arches, all linked by an impost band and resting on a plinth. The windows are sash types set in reveals. The eastern lodge retains its central trellis porch, while the western lodge has a recessed extension with one window on the north side, where the original entrance has been blocked and the porch relocated within the northern arch.
