Description
The garden walls and gateways north of Bramshill House date from the early 17th century and early 19th century. They consist of rectangular enclosures that project northward from the house. The smaller adjacent area features small doorway entrances near the house and a large arched opening beneath stepped walling along the central axis. The larger northern enclosure culminates in a gateway, also aligned on the axis. To the east of this enclosure is a similar, later enclosure with doorways in the center of each side, which includes a cambered arch topped with a simple raised pediment. These enclosures are surrounded by high red brick walls constructed in English bond and Flemish Garden Wall bond, featuring weathered tops and plinths. The fourth enclosure, located east of the one next to the house, has a pierced stone balustrade on its east and south sides.
