Description
Crofton Manor Hotel is a large house with an irregular plan, dating from various periods. It features a small courtyard that faces southeast. The north wing is from the 17th century or earlier, constructed of red brick with grey headers. It has an old tiled roof that is steeply pitched, with a hipped gable and a cruciform chimneystack where it meets the east-west wing. The building has two storeys and two dormers, with five windows, including a very small upper window and reproduction 17th-century casements. There is one window added between the storeys at the end. The east-west wing is from the 19th century, with two and a half storeys and four windows, one of which is blank. The eastern entrance section is one storey high, featuring three windows and a door. Some timber framing is exposed inside. Crofton Manor Hotel and Holy Rood Church form a group.
