Description

The cottages at 1-5 Burnt House Lane, Stubbington, originally a single timber-framed building divided into three cottages, date to the late 18th or early 19th century. The structure has red brick infill within the square panel framing, with a rendered ground floor central section and rebuilt or refaced red brick ends. A tiled roof is topped by an off-centre chimney, and the roof is half-hipped at the south end. There are two storeys and four windows in total, featuring late 18th or early 19th century casement windows and one modern window on each floor. Two gabled porches are present on the main, western facade, and a further porch is on the south end wall of number 1. Nos 1 to 3 form a group.
