Savage Pit Cottages, also known as Nos 1 to 4, including No 2 which is also called Wannock Cottage, date from the 18th century or earlier. The building is two storeys high and features five windows. The ground floor is constructed of red brick, while the upper floor is tile-hung. It has a tiled roof and casement windows with small square panes. The westernmost window bay is a modern addition.
