Description

Boship Farm Hotel, originally known as Horeship Farm, dates to 1652 and was built by M Fuller. The building is a timber-framed structure which was later encased in red brick and altered in the early 19th century. It is two storeys and has an attic, with four windows and three gables, each containing attic windows. The central gable features a pendant displaying the date 1653 and the initials "M.F.". A pentice is present on the west side of the west gable. A cemented stringcourse runs around the building, and it has a tiled roof. The windows are early 19th century and feature rusticated, painted surrounds with double or triple narrow sashes. The four-centred doorway is flanked by narrow lights. An east wall brick chimney breast has offsets.
