Description
Hamsell Farmhouse is an L-shaped building dating from the 17th century or earlier. It has two storeys and features four windows. The ground floor is constructed of red brick with grey headers, while the upper floor is tile-hung. The south-east wing is entirely tile-hung and has a gable that has been converted into a hip. The windows are casement style, with small square panes in the centre. In the 18th century, a north-west wing was added, built of ashlar with a hipped roof, and it features sash windows with glazing bars. The farmhouse has a red brick chimney breast on the south wall and a tiled roof throughout.
