Description
Comphurst is a T-shaped building with an old portion dating from the 16th century. The south-west wing is constructed of red brick, featuring long and short stone quoins and a gable above, topped with a tiled roof. The ground floor has windows with two tiers of five lights, supported by stone mullions and transoms, while the upper floor has windows with one tier of two lights. There is a round-headed brick doorway with a round-headed door made of six fielded panels. The building has three storeys and two windows. The north wing, dating from the 17th century, has a ground floor made of red brick with grey headers, and is tile-hung above, with two storeys and two windows. There is also a modern wing to the east.
