Description
The stowage and roundels located about 30 yards north-west of Buckhurst Manor date from the early to mid-19th century. The lower floor is constructed of red and buff brick, while the upper floor is timber-framed and clad in weatherboarding, which is painted on the east side. The building features a plain tiled half-hipped roof. The roundels are made of red brick and topped with tiled roofs. The stowage is oriented north-south, with the roundels positioned in pairs at the north end. There are irregular openings, including a loft entrance on the right side of the first floor, two windows on the left, and double garage-type doors on the ground floor. A latticed casement window is present on the first floor of the south gable end, with a smaller window below it. Inside, the timber frame is made of pit-sawn timber. It is unclear if the plenum chamber remains on the ground floor of the roundels, but both roundels still have part of the framed flue structure.
