Description

Jack Cade's Monument is a square stone plinth erected by Francis Newbery of Heathfield Park between 1791 and 1819. It features a tablet that records that Jack Cade was killed by Alexander Iden, Sheriff of Kent, in 1450 "near this spot," although the exact location of the event has been disputed.
