Description

The wall, gatepiers, and gates adjoining Snape Barn to the southeast were built around 1904 when Sir George Barham laid out Snape Barn Garden. The structure features local sandstone rubble in a small section of the wall, which has pyramidal coping. There are two gatepiers with moulded cornices and plinths, topped with ball finials. The gates are made of elaborate cast iron and include side panels with intricate patterns of scrollwork and fan motifs.
