Description

The Almshouses, founded by William Ashburnham, Controller of the Household to Charles II, were rebuilt in 1817. This single-storey building features six windows and is constructed of red brick. It has an eaves cornice and a tiled roof. There are three gabled porches, each with a pair of doorways set at an angle, and pilasters positioned between the porches. The windows have been replaced with modern casement windows.
