Description

Thornton Cottage and Thornton House form one building in an L-shape. The original east wing dates to the 17th century, while the southwest wing (Thornton House) is a later 18th-century addition. The east wing is two storeys high and has three windows, featuring weather-boarding painted in horizontal black and white stripes and a tiled roof. Casement windows are present. The two-window southwest wing (Thornton House) is constructed of red brick and retains its original glazing bars.
