Description

The Parish Church of St Mary is a large medieval church located on Church Street in Ticehurst. It features a chancel with north and south chapels, a nave with aisles, a north porch with a room above, and a west tower topped with a broached shingled spire. Most of the church dates from the 14th century and was restored by Slater in 1857. The 15th-century porch includes a room above that was once used as a prison, along with a west window. Inside, there is a carved 16th-century font-canopy with folding doors.
