Description

The Parish Church of St Thomas a Becket is a Grade I listed building located in Brightling. The church features a chancel, a north chapel, a nave with a north aisle, a south porch, and a west tower. The chancel, north chapel, nave, and the lower part of the tower date back to the 13th century, while the north aisle and the upper part of the tower were built in the 14th century. The south porch was added in 1749. Inside, there is an 18th-century west gallery that houses a Gothic barrel organ, which was given by 'Mad Jack' Fuller around 1810.
