Description

Clayhams and Clayhams Cottage are a pair of houses, likely originating as a late 17th-century farmhouse that was refurbished and altered in the 19th century. The ground floor is built of red brick with some grey headers, while the first floor is tile hung. The tiled roof features a ridge brick chimney stack, an external brick chimney stack to Clayhams, and a hipped projection.

The houses are two storeys high with a three-window facade. Clayhams has a sash window with marginal glazing to the left of the first floor, below which is a three-light bay. To the right is a first-floor three-light casement window and a ground-floor bay. An early to mid-19th century porch with bargeboard and a six-panelled door is located on the front. Clayhams Cottage has casement windows arranged as 1:2:3 lights. A doorcase is situated on the side elevation.

The interior of Clayhams Cottage includes chamfered spine beams with run-out stops and an open fireplace.
