Description

Horsepen is an L-shaped timber-framed house dating from the 17th century or earlier, located on the south side of Main Street in Beckley. The house features plaster infilling, with the west wing's first floor oversailing on a moulded bressummer supported by brackets, and a close-studded gable above. The bressummer and bargeboards are painted in red, yellow, and green. The roof is tiled, and there are casement windows with diamond-shaped leaded panes. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a total of two windows.
