Description

Battle Station is a Victorian vicarage built in 1852 for the South Eastern Railway, designed by architect William Trees of Finsbury Square. The building is constructed in a medieval style and features a central hall with cross-wings. It stands two storeys high and has seven windows. The exterior is made of coursed stone and topped with a tiled roof. The windows are casement style with latticed panes. Notable architectural features include a projecting gable at the north end, a gabled dormer, and a further projecting gable to the south that contains two tall Gothic windows designed in the style of the 13th century. There is also a gable porch and a portion of one storey extending beyond.
